palm tree trimming/skinning

Our tree care specialists have decades of experience trimming palm trees for residential and commercial clients throughout Southern California. As a palm tree ages, the fronds will die out and can fall off. We have the equipment and skills to scale even the tallest palm trees and remove dying fronds and seed pods before they become an issue. We have experience trimming a wide variety of Southern California palm trees.

when to trim palm trees?

Palm trees only need to  be trimmed when the oldest fronds on the tree have turned brown, dry and dead. As palm trees grow, new fronds are formed every year and the oldest fronds die. As a result, trimming shouldn't be necessary more than once or twice a year. Do not over-trim in anticipation of future trimming; instead, trim only what is dead or needed.

dangers of not trimming palm trees?

Dead palm fronds may become an inconvenience for homeowners and a danger to passersby. These fronds may fall off with time, and may cause accidents or injuries upon doing so. Dead palm fronds that gather in a yard are a fire hazard and may harbor rodents and insects. Palm trees with excessive dead fronds may also be unattractive in a well-maintanined garden.
